Sadly, difficult to get hold of these days! But a cracking read for sure. Great characters and plenty of scope for hating the main character, despite it being a first person narrative. Picked this up at AWP 2008 (here in NYC) at the Melville House Classics desk. They've got a whole series, "The Art of the Novella" devoted to classics of the genre. MHC is also looking into publishing a contemporary novella series. Exciting stuff. Read full review
