Sadly, difficult to get hold of these days! But a cracking read for sure. Great characters and plenty of scope for hating the main character, despite it being a first person narrative. Nice way to spend an afternoon, this is a very underrated RLS novel. beats Jekyll and Hyde and no mistake! Read full review

Picked this up at AWP 2008 (here in NYC) at the Melville House Classics desk. They've got a whole series, "The Art of the Novella" devoted to classics of the genre. MHC is also looking into publishing a contemporary novella series. Exciting stuff. Read full review
