It's a good idea to have an updated version of Lonley planet to countries you want to visit especially for areas without a lot of backpackers. But for most major places it's easier and better to ask people along the way when you meet them. Read full review

maps aren't always the best , but a lot of the info was very handy and it really gives you something to start exploring with, even smaller towns we travelled to had good recommendations for accomadation etc Read full review
