"Something Old, Something New" by Joyce Sweeney and "Bread on the Water" by David Lubar are the strongest stories in the set. Others could have benefited from more editing. Some 'told' too much and left nothing to the imagination. Many needed more focus. Read full review

About the author (2006)

Donald R. Gallo is the editor of a number of short story anthologies for teens. He is the recipient of the ALAN Award for Outstanding Contributions to Young Adult Literature, and his anthology SIXTEEN was named by the American Library Association as one of the 100 Best Books for Young Adults published between 1966 and 1999.
