Creating a klutz book is always a challenge but this particular title has been a disaster from day one. Which wasn't entirely coincidental, of course. When the topic is Mother nature in a very bad mood, disasters ARE the territory. We spent a yaer collecting the most incredible photography, facts and true-life survival stories imaginable. Tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods and volcanoes... each gets its own section, including up-to-the minute coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the global warning trend. In klutz tradition, we also include a variety of hands-on experiences. The most eye-catching is the twister tube attached to the front cover, an amazing gizmo that puts the power of a twister in the palm of your hand. The most unusual may be the make-it-yourself air-puff launcher, perfect for irritating people clear across the room with perfectly timed wind gusts. taken all together, mother Nature Goes Nuts! is classic Klutz: exhaustivetly researched, stunning photographed, irreverent in style, and, of course, completely disastrous. But at least this time we did it deliberately.
