I was assigned this book the first week of my senior semester at University, and I can't explain how much I wish I had been assigned this book as a freshman. It is an absolutely amazing and encouraging read that I feel extremely benefited not only my student life but my personal and professional life as well. I definitely recommend it. It felt a little slow for the first couple of pages because I didn't know what to expect, but once I realized the writer's pattern and purpose, I really couldn't put the book down. Another reviewer has mentioned that the language was a bit ambiguous, and while I did feel that the first couple of pages, I definitely feel like the language fits the message of what the author is trying to convey and became an engine rather than the brakes. I encourage everyone to give this a chance and read it if you are even the least bit unhappy with any aspect of your life. It will change the way you view work and problems that come up in life.

Anyone who has felt frustrated by work and frustrated by themselves when it comes to their work habits will find this book useful. I have already felt a shift in myself, as I approach my work with a fresh mind. Tulku's writing style is accessible and inspiring. Read full review
