Review: The Dreaming Jewels

User Review  - Terry Quirke - Goodreads

This is my first Sturgeon book and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It reads more like a fantasy/urban story rather than science fiction. Great idea, realised characters and an unpredictable story.A great read, in 200 pages he gives more solid storytelling than some of the modern 800 page epics. Read full review

Read this for the first time over fifty years ago. Still holds up pretty well. The first novel by an extraordinary author who wrote beyond just science fiction with poetry and deep understanding of what being human meant. Read full review
