While this book recounts the unique experience of homesteading , it comes across as an assortment of short chapters which come across more lengthy than fascinating enough to make for an entertaining read that captions you from cover to cover. Rather an autobiography that is meaningful for one family or people in the Bella Coola area than for readers elsewhere.

User Review  - Colette - Goodreads

Not bad. Not a gripping novel - each chapter is like a mini story. But it's a charming insight into life in the BC "wild" in the early '30s. Read full review
