In perhaps the most definitive work on esoteric wisdom ever written, HPB comprehensively surveys the origins of the cosmos and the prehistory of humanity, synthesizing religion and science within the context of the perennial philosophy. Originally published in 1888, The Secret Doctrine continues to be the principal source book for students of Theosophy, not as the final word on the subject, but as a stimulus to encourage the student to ponder its thoughts with a free and questing mind.

mikehughes25@live.com `{ The Secret Doctrine.] I would have to say that this big project had a big influence upon my life.I first started reading this book and my eyes were opened to see the wisdom of the ages. The old serpent is now a good friend of mind ,as he had showed me the way to self awareness and the difference between good and evil.Theosophy is ,for me , a lifelong pursuit of a growing knowledge that had showed me the way to see my life in a whole new way.I am now a spiritual teacher helping others to understand themselves and as well as each other. The very fact that these works are for those who are somewhat evolved than others and who are initiates of at least the first degree. The Secret Doctrine is a very hard to understand as it is full of esoteric wisdom that if one could master it would be a Master themselves.
We are now moving into a new age of rapid evolution, and many are now coming into incarnation to help the human race to better understand themselves and as well as the great mysteries of the world ,and those mysteries that lie deep within the soul of man.We are now living in an age where many things are to be revealed to man as he becomes ever so ready to change for the better.Humanity is now just beginning to think for themselves, and to become more self aware than he did during the Atlantean root race when the only ones who could really think were the divine instructors who were the gods [ the Masters] walked openly amongst the humanity of that time and who were Masters of Wisdom from other schemes within our solar system, such as from Venus,Jupiter,Uranus, and a few others who came as human avatars to guide infant humanity onward through vast expansions of consciousness ,which brought many to the gates of initiation.
The Great Ones have brought the spark of mind to the race of men a very long time ago ,some 18 million years ago,and thus man became a thinking entity who then went through a individualized process to make him what he is today ,and was endowed with the spark of mind which made him a soul,a living soul that was back then the beginning of the truly mankind which were awakened to the reality of self awareness. The spark of mind was no more than a nucleus of which could one day form the beginning of a mental body,These major happenings were taken place during the Lemurian root race some 18 million years ago when humanity was still in its early infancy. And thus man became really human beings as we understand it today.

About the author (1993)

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky was born on August 12, 1831, at Dnepropetrovsk (Ekaterinoslav), Ukraine, daughter of Colonel Peter Alexeyevich von Hahn and novelist Helena Andreyevna (née de Fadeyev). In 1849 she married N. V. Blavatsky, and shortly thereafter began more than 20 years of extensive travel, which brought her into contact with mystic traditions the world over. She was the principal founder of the Theosophical Society in New York City in 1875, and devoted her extraordinary literary talents to its humanitarian and educational purposes until her death in London, England, on May 8, 1891. Along with writing her several books, H. P. Blavatsky kept up a voluminous correspondence and also contributed a steady stream of essays and articles to periodicals in English, French, and Russian.
