Excellent overview of art in the 21st century. McAleer-Keeler's book art provides a fresh look at themes that have obsessed artists through the ages: love, dedication, existence of a supreme being, etc.

I borrowed this book from the library and then bought it online. Full of great photographs of inspiring bound images. Good reference book for teaching.

I own this book. I bought it at the Book Art fair held in the Pieterskerk in Leiden (NL) every year. (Enter 'Boekkunstbeurs' in Google to find details)
This Book Art book illustrates the bridge
between design and content more than anything. It contains images of books that are deeply personal and that are designed from there. The design and content of the books form unbreakable unties. This book is highly inspiring for art journalers and book artists to take their work to a higher level. But it also clearly points out that every book is incredibly personal both in design and in content and so it encourages inspired artists to find their own.
