Ondine had once been a pampered lady. Now an innocent pawn in a game of power and influence, she is to hang before she can expose the traitor who was her father's killer. Lord Chatham had eyes hard as silver, a will of steel, and all the mistresses a man could want. But for his own purposes of revenge, he needed a wife. Fate brought him to the gallows and destiny made him claim Ondine as his bride. Swept up in intrigue and surrounded by enemies, neither Charles nor Ondine expected to find a passion that would unite them -- body and soul.
