This boy named Eddie was poor and lived in a trailer park. He entered in a contest to shoot a million dollar shot. He shot the ball and....you'll have to read it to find out if he made the shot and won the million dollars. (Review by a 5th grader - LC)

The reason I rated the book the way I did is because there is a lot of suspense so you have to keep on reading it. Another reason is that he writes a poem to get to take the milli8on dollar shot. So then he takes 500-600 shots a day. Finkel wants Eddie to miss, but Eddie wans the million dollars. There is 4 ways to miss: short, long, left, and right. Will he make it?

Interesting characters, easy reading level, and short - great for 3/4 grade boys or sporty girls. Not my favorite book of the season but good. Think Gutman might be great for a kids who struggle to find something they want to read. Read full review
