The 29th Division contained National Guard units from Virginia, Maryland, District of Columbia, and New Jersey. A Divisional history contains the story of the officers and men that composed the division. The 29th Division's infantry brigades saw action in the Meuse-Argonne. The division is a good reference for family historians as the rosters of the men killed are included in the work
