About the author (2000)

Kevin Riggs, DPhil, was born and raised in Nashville, TN. He has been in ministry of 29 years and in pastoral ministry for more than 20 of those years. Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Administration from Free Will Baptist Bible College (Nashville, TN), his Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Trevecca Nazarene University (Nashville, TN), and his Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Integration of Society and Religion from Oxford Graduate School (Dayton,TN). Presently, Dr. Riggs is a bi-vocational pastor in Franklin, TN. He pastors Franklin Community Church and teaches Sociology at Nashville State Community College. He also teaches college classes in Leadership, Theology, Ethics, and Sociology at William Christian College. Dr. Riggs is active in his community through Rotary and Empty Hands Fellowship. He is Dr. Riggs lives in Franklin, TN with his wife of 23 years, Misty, their two teenage children, Katherine and Zachary, and their Golden Retriever, Sandy
