Published in 1994, a modern orientalists like Edward Wilmot Blyden could continue in his writing the mentality of medieval Christian Church based writers who not only bashed Islam, the Quran, the Prophet, and the Muslim people in a very harsh tongue and tone, including using the name of "Mohamedanism" which is far from being the truth as far as Islam and Muslims are concerned, they dehumanized Muslims and brutalized them. Unlike Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity, Prophet Mohammad was not the founder or owner of the religion of Islam, he was just the messenger of God to deliver the message of Islam to the people on His behalf. Using the term "Mohamedanism" to speak about Muslims and Islam is the reflection of either or both persona's ignorance and/or bigotry. It is shocking that in the late twentieth century so called western scholars are writing and selling their books that are full of prejudices, ignorance, bigotry, and anti-Islamic slanders, as if they had not done enough yet, from Crusade through the 15th century inquisition and the later century colonial and imperial brutality. The world seem to have waken up, but not the evil mongers in the West.
