Fade Far Away
Fifteen-year-old Sienna Scully is locked in a lonely world of her own. In awe of her father, an unapproachable genius whose towering bronze sculptures have brought him international fame, and distant from her mother, who manages her husband's career, Sienna spends her days sketching in the woods, avoiding her parents' glamorous life. Then Hugh Scully is diagnosed with a serious illness, and everything changes. As Sienna watches helplessly, her mother devotes the same energy to her husband's health that she has to his career, pushing him to try harder, to make himself well. But when Sienna's mother travels out of town, Hugh turns to Sienna, reaching out, asking her to be his companion on a journey first to the seductive world of the Manhattan gallery scene, then to a remote Maine Island. And it's there Sienna realizes that Hugh doesn't intend to return -- that her newfound closeness to her father may have to last her a lifetime.
