Meh. I think this book would have meant more to me if I had read it in 2005. As an exploration of frustration and anger at the government, I suppose that it works, but as a story it really goes nowhere. Read full review

Nicholson Baker was born in 1957 and attended the Eastman School of Music and Haverford College. He has published six previous novels and three works of nonfiction, includingDouble Fold, which won a National Book Critics Circle Award in 2001.
