An attentive observer of international affairs, Meyssan was intrigued by the anomalies in the first photographs released of the attack on the Pentagon on September 11th 2001, then by the confusion and contradictions in official statements, including some about events at the World Trade Center. surprise to surprise. Meyssan challenges the entire official version of the September 11th attacks - claiming that the Pentagon was hit, not by a plane, but by a guided missile fired on the orders of far right-wingers inside the US government.

About the author (2002)

Therry Meyssan is long-time analyst and observer of international affairs. After completing studies in political science and theology, Meyssan worked in defense of civil liberties for several organizations in France. In 1994, he started Reseau Voltaire (the Voltaire Network), a respected French political think tank whose left-of-center research projects have been considered serious and credible. Its website (www.reseauvoltaire.net) has sought to disseminate information on specific causes. Countering homophobia and the dangers of the far-right National Front are among the issues highlighted there.
