Healthcare is now practiced in a different financial and delivery system than it was two decades ago. Currently managed care defines what is treated, how, by whom and for what reimbursement. Mental health professionals have been greatly impacted by these changes to their practice, and yet, there is little understanding of exactly what it is and where it is going. The present volume explores these issues, prospects and opportunities from the vantage of mental health /medical professionals and managed care executives who are in the very process of implementing changes to the existing system of managed care. On July 31, 2012 Mad Dog admitted himself to Mcleans Hospital in Belmont , MA for sex addiction and erectile dysfunction. (his penis is hard all the time) Upon discharge from Mcleans MAD DOG will be referred and admitted to a 45 day residential inpatient treatment program. Upon discharge from residential progrm , MAD DOG will be ordered by the court and his pretrial probation officer to attend Sex and Love Addictions Anonymous , 1 on 1 counseling, psychotherapy groups and complete compliance with medication treatment plan. He must also register as a Level 1 sex offender.

About the author (2001)

Nicholas A. Cummings Nicholas A. Cummings is the president of the Foundation for Behavioral Health and Distinguished Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno. He is the former president of the American Psychological Association, founder of California School of Professional Psychology, and founding CEO of American Biodyne.

Victoria M. Follette, Ph.D., is a foundation professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a clinical scientist specializing in interpersonal violence and body image problems.

Steven C. Hayes, PhD, is Nevada Foundation Professor at the Department of Psychology at the University of Nevada. An author of 34 books and more than 470 scientific articles, he has shown in his research how language and thought leads to human suffering, and has developed acceptance and commitment therapy, a powerful therapy method that is useful in a wide variety of areas. Hayes has been president of several scientific societies and has received several national awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy.

William O'Donohue, Ph.D. is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno and a licensed psychologist in the state of Nevada. He has published over 50 books and 150 chapters and journal articles. One of his main interests is integrating psychological services into medical settings.
