A great book to read. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more regarding our heroes and heroines of the past in Dade County police history. Some of the stories would astonish the average individual. I learned things regarding an officer who lived around the corner from my family. Young kids I believe should learn of these many brave and courageous people of the law enforcement community. Rabbi Lewis S. Davis Son of a longtime veteran New York City policeman.

Thank you Mr Wilbanks!!! As a survivor of the loss of my father in 1957, I was able to find closure. I was also able to get the entire story thanks to you comprehensive research Time does not heal all, but closure has a way of providing perspective and a place to hold your heart.
We owe all these men and women a debt. Your book and the National Memorial established by George and Barbra Bush has provided them with a place of honor in American History.
