About the author (1990)

Medina lived in Havana, Cuba the first 12 years of his life then moved with his family to New York City. He has written four collections of poetry, three novels, a memoir, and a book of translations. He is on the writing faculties of the New School University and the MFA Program fro Writers at Warren Wilson College.
