Designs by Erté: fashion drawings and illustrations from "Harper's bazar"
From 1915 to 1936, Russian-born, Paris-based artist Erte (Romain de Tirtoff) was associated with HARPER'S BAZAAR, furnishing readers with fashion designs, cover art, and word-pictures of the European fashion scene. This book is a selection of this remarkable work, including 310 line drawings and 14 covers, 8 of which appear here in full color, along with selections from Erte's letters and commentaries for the magazine.
