Robert Hamilton Bishop (1777-1855), a grandson of John Bishop of Whitburn, married Ann Ireland in 1802, and later that year emigrated from Scotland to New York. By 1804 they were settled in Lexington, Kentucky, moving to Oxford, Ohio in 1824, and to Pleasant Hill (now College Hill), Ohio in 1845. Ebenezer Bishop (1792-1860), a brother of R.H. and another grandson of John, emigrated in 1833 from Scotland to Lexington, Kentucky, moving later to McDonough County, Illinois. John Scott (1762-1844) married Elizabeth Crawford, and emigrated from Ireland to Baltimore, Maryland. Descendants and relatives of these three immigrants lived in Maryland, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Kansas, Texas, California and elsewhere. Includes three generations of ancestry and relatives in Scotland, as well as extracts and transcripts from Whitburn parish registers for church records of Bishop, Bryce, Hamilton, Wallace, Weir and Easton in the 1700s.
