About the author (1981)

After their service in the Polish Underground State during the Second World War. Stefan and Zofia escaped Communist Poland in 1947 and settled in the United States. Stefan Korbonski served in many organizations and wrote books and articles devoted to the ideal of an independent Poland. He died in 1989, just two years before this dream was fulfilled. Zofia Korbonski lives in Washington. D.C.
