Charlotte Keatley cleverly wrote about different themes in the play. The main theme is relationships. People could arguee and say the main theme is the generations of the family being split. I also think that the relationship of females and males in the play is also a strong theme. For example all characters have problems with the male sex as the grandfather dint leave anything for his wife, The daughter found a man that dint last, Then Jackie her daughter had an affair with a married man. As a result Rosie is born. Rosie then gets a man asking Jackie about her. Another relationship is between the 'sisters' as Rosie is brought up knowing Jackie as her sister instead of her mother. So thier bond is very strong and as you read you know that the bond is about to explode into strong tearful emotions...
