For the past few decades, the incidence of obesity in America has steadily risen--especially in certain ethnic communities. Even with the availability of low-fat foods, medications, diet and exercise programs, the percentage of men and women with health problems continues to climb. The focus of this insightful book is on the nine fruit of the Spirit and how a lack of spiritual maturity in any of these nine areas can lead to obesity or roadblock any attempt of weight loss. Dr. Kara Davis is not only a physician but also a pastor's wife who knows that spiritual issues can cause problems of epidemic proportions. Readers will learn to identify the spiritual issues that contribute to their weight problems and be inspired to gain control over their eating and improve their health.
