About the author (1988)

Cook is a lacemaker, teacher, lecturer and designer, whose work is known from exhibitiions, demonstrations and lectures throughout the UK, Europe, Australia and the U.S.A. In 1981 she was a prize-winner at the Concours International de Dentelles Miniatures in Belgium. In 1983 she undertook research in the methods of Lacemaking across Europe.
