A collection for children of the work of 35 contemporary Aboriginal poets. Contributors include Oodgeroo of the tribe Noonuccal, Jack Davis, Archie Weller, Bobbi Sykes, Eva Johnson, Kevin Gilbert and Ruby Langford Ginibi. The compiler is an Aboriginal film maker and writer who acted as a cultural consultant for the films TThe Chant of Jimmy Blacksmith' and TThe Fringe Dwellers' and the TV series TWomen of the Sun'.
