Short version:
This book is exactly what it seems to be. A book that sets out to disprove the basis for a scientific belief in religious ideas. It accomplishes what it sets out to do. Apart from a
somewhat weak appeal to justify humanism. Dwakins shows rather convincingly through documented cases and logical reasoning, that all cases for belief are not justifiable in a scientific or reasonable way. For me the most convincing arguments were the cargo cults.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was really well written and quite funny. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the ending was disappointing. The last chapter was all about physics. If I wanted to read about physics I'd have bought a book about physics! Read full review

He makes some excellent points in his book. And once I was done reading it, I didn't believe in God or anything for an entire month. If you like to be swayed into the dark depths of your soul, this book should be on your list! He is very persuasive. Read full review

Maybe, if we realized there is no life after death, and that this is our one and only chance to do something with the one-in-a-million chance that we even exist, we would live life to its fullest, not waiting for tomorrow or tomorrow's tomorrow. Thank you. Read full review
