About the author (1996)

Lehndorff specialized in pain management, and became an anesthesiologist-in-chief at Burbank Hospital in Massachusetts. Later, he opened his own pain clinic to devote his time to the study and treatment of pain.

Brian Tarcy holds a B.S. in Journalism from Ohio University, and has authored or co-authored more than a dozen books on sports, business and medicine. He has written stories for "Boston" magazine, "Boston Business" magazine, "Unique Opportunities, Teaching Tolerance, The Boston Herald, The Boston Globe," and "USAir" magazine. Tarcy has appeared on numerous radio shows including with Jim Scott on WLW700 in Cincinnati and with Quinn & Cantera on 94WHJY in Providence, RI. He is the creator of the humor websites Whatzgonnahappen.com, featuring NFL picks, and Freecheezeburgerz.com.
