William Shakespeare etait poete anglais, acteur, dramaturge. Il est le plus grand ecrivain de la langue anglaise et le plus grand dramaturge et dramaturge du monde. Ses pieces ont ete traduites dans toutes les langues et sont executes plus souvent que ceux de n'importe quel autre dramaturge. William Shakespeare est le pere de la litterature moderne. Francois Pierre Guillaume Guizot, ne le 4 octobre 1787 a Nimes, mort le 12 septembre 1874 a Saint-Ouen-le-Pin, est le traducteur des uvres de William Shakespeare.
