What people are saying - Write a reviewUser Review - Flag as inappropriate It would be difficult to argue with a person who claimed that this book was written as a prolonged advertisement for the Revised Version and its New Testament base-text (i.e., the critical text published by Westcott & Hort in 1881). Schaff never seems to miss any opportunity to politely minimize the quality of the KJV and Textus Receptus, or to assure his readers of the accuracy of the WH text. On the other hand, much of the data that he reports is worth reading, if for no other reason than seeing how Hort's text was presented to the academic world in the late 1800's. Related booksContents
