Great product, BUT beware!User Review - Christianbook.com
This is a great little New Testament. The font is readable, the quality is good, and it sells at a great price. So why the 2 star review? Foundation Publications once again has managed to slip in their own personal theological ideas into the Bible. This is a Bible and it should stay as such. They add 2-3 pages of a very superficial and watered down "gospel presentation" on "how to be saved" by simply "praying a prayer" and nothing more. A prayer to be prayed and a space to sign your "decision" and whala, you are "saved", like a magical formula. This is nowhere in the Bible, and has appeared nowhere in church history until the 20th century in the US. No, people do not need "help" by praying a prayer to be saved, the Bible never mentions this, but rather says "repent and believe the gospel." The plan of salvation presented in this NT and preached in many churches today is not the gospel which Jesus preached, but rather a modern counterfeit. Even worse, while you can tear out those pages inside, it is written of on the back cover where it cannot be taken away. As one living in Latin America, I cannot figure out why so much is made of the "white dove" in the professing Christian circles. It is glorified and exalted by the charismatics as if it were Christ Himself, but why here, why on a New Testament, and why is it called "a symbol of the Christian faith" on the back cover? The book itself is great, the publishers own personal theological beliefs which are no in the Bible but ARE found within this NT, have corrupted it to where I would not want to give it to a lost person, lest they be deceived into believing they are saved by praying a sinner's prayer. I would distribute it if the heretical pages had been torn out, but only then. This is the gospel of Jesus Christ that is at stake here, and the precious souls of millions who need salvation.
Good for the price.User Review - Christianbook.com
Used it for an outreach program. We gave away over 50 copies in one meeting and we were happy with the added information inside the NT.
