Companion book is not great, messages often are unclear and sometimes contradictory. I use Joan Bunnings, learning the tarot to read instead and it's a much clearer read. Art is beautiful though, medieval, magical, and feminine but without being overly so. Read full review

About the author (2008)

The tarot has been a part of Barbara Moore's personal and professional lives for over two decades. In college, the tarot intrigued her with its marvelous blending of mythology, psychology, art, and history. Today she continues her tarot journey, both by learning from others and sharing her ideas through writing and teaching. Indeed, this erstwhile Hermit is discovering that she enjoys traveling the world sharing her love of tarot. She is the tarot acquisitions editor for Llewellyn and consults for Lo Scarabeo, an Italian tarot publishing company.

Barbara has written over a dozen books on tarot, including: The Steampunk Tarot, Tarot Spreads: Layouts & Techniques to Empower Your Readings, Tarot for Beginners: A Practical Guide to Reading the Cards, Tarot of the Hidden Realm, and the Mystic Faerie Tarot.
