Venite, exultemus Domino. Pfal. xcv.

COME, let us fing unto the Lord let us

:

heartily rejoice in the ftrength of our falvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving: and fhew ourselves glad in him with Pfalms.

:

For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.

In his hand are all the corners of the earth: and the strength of the hills is his also.

The fea is his, and he made it : and his hands prepared the dry land.

O come, let us worship, and fall down : and kneel before the Lord our Maker.

For he is the Lord our God: and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness;

When your fathers tempted me : proved me, and saw my works.

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and faid: It is a people that do err in their hearts, for they have not known my ways.

Unto whom I fware in my wrath: that they fhould not enter into my rest.

Minifter. Now unto the King eternal: immortal, invifible the only wife God:

Answer. Be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Tim. i. 17.

¶Or the less ancient Doxology may be used in this form, Minifter. Glory be to the Father, *through the Son and by the Holy Ghoft:

:

Answer. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.

¶Then may follow the Pfalms as they are divided for monthly fervice, or felections from them: and at the end of reading them, and likewife at the end of Benedicite, Benedictus, Magnificat, and Nunc dimittis the doxology fhall be repeated.

Then fhall be read the first Lesson taken out of the Old Teftament.

After that fhall be faid or fung the hymn, or parts of it, called Te Deum Laudamus+.

Te Deum Laudamus.

E praise thee, O God: we acknowledge thee to be the Lord.

All the earth doth worship thee: the Father everlafting.

To thee all Angels cry aloud: the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.

To thee Cherubin, and Seraphin continually do cry.

Alfo the Holy Ghost: the Comforter.
Thou art the King of Glory : O God.

He is the only begotten Son of the Father.

:

When thou diddeft determine to deliver man : thou didst not despise his low eftate.

When Christ had overcome the sharpness of death, he did open the kingdom of heaven to all believers. He fitteth at the right hand of God, in the glory of the Father.

We believe that he will come to be our judge.

O God, we pray thee help thy fervants: whom thou haft redeemed from the bonds of fin.

Make them to be numbered with thy Saints: in glory everlasting.

O Lord, fave thy people : and bless thine heritage.
Govern them and lift them up for ever.

Day by day we magnify thee;

And we worship thy Name: ever world without
