Queen of Demons
"Substantial fantasy, in which moral and physical threats are serious and the actions of the characters have real consequences". -- Publishers Weekly
"The cast is large and weft drawn, the pacing brisk, the world building outstanding". -- Booklist
Now the saga continues in Queen of Demons, which follow the travels and adventures of the same major characters, Garric, Sharina, Cashel, and Tenoctris, across the world of the Isles toward their confrontation with contending forces of evil, as the cosmic forces of magic are reaching a millennial peak.
Queen of Demons reveals some of the dark powers of the evil queen of the Isles, and includes enough powerful magical conflict to satisfy even the most jaded fantasy reader.
"Unlike most of modern fantasy, David Drake's Lord of the Isles is an epic with the texture of the legends of yore, with rousing action and characters to cheer for". -- Terry Goodkind, Bestselling Author of Temple of the Winds
"Certainly one of the finest epic fantasies of the decade". -- Piers Anthony
"True brilliance is as rare as a perfect diamond or a supernova. Lord of the Isles is truly brilliant. We are at the birth of a classic". -- Morgan Llywelyn

I found the plot weak and the book was less interesting than the first. I borrowed this one so will not bother with the rest of the series.
