A sweet little book with a disappointing ending. I think I would have preferred it written as a traditional novel instead of epistolary. It did spur me to learn about the Channel Islands, which sound like a neat place to visit. Read full review

About the author (2009)

Mary Ann Shaffer who passed away in February 2008, worked as an editor, librarian, and in bookshops. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society was her first novel.
