About the author (1991)

John DeChancie is a science fiction novelist, short-story writer, television writer, and editor. He was born in 1946. DeChancie began his Skyway series in 1983 with the novel, Starrigger. Other series include the Dr. Dimension series written with David Bishoff and the Castle Perilous series. DeChancie was editor with Martin H. Greenberg of the anthology, Castle Fantastic. In 1993, he wrote the software for MagicNet. DeChancie received the Golden Headset Award for the audio version of Dr. Dimension in 1997.
