About the author (1990)

Feminist and science fiction/fantasy writer Sheri S. Tepper was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1929. Grass (1990) was nominated for the Hugo Award and was a New York Times Notable Book. Dead in the Scrub (also 1990, written as B. J. Oliphant) was nominated for an Edgar Award. In addition to Oliphant, she has written under the pseudonyms A. J. Orde and E. E. Horlak.
