Growing up in Charleston, South Carolina, Morgan Midgett enjoyed bugging her two older sisters when not playing pretend or drawing in her bedroom. Her mom was a great reader who read at least three books a night to Morgan (she was the baby after all) before she went to bed. Her dad kept her in fits of giggles and was always around to see the unveiling of a new "masterpiece." According to Morgan, her family never faltered in their encouragement of her artwork and visions. Ms. Midgett graduated from the Ringling School of Art & Design with a BFA in Illustration. She feels she was blessed with gifted mentors throughout her educational career. Oh, Crumps! is her debut into the wonderful world of childrens illustration.
