About the author (2005)

Ferida Wolff is the author of fifteen books for young people, including "A Year for Kiko", "Watch Out for Bears!", "On Halloween Night", "Seven Loaves of Bread", "A Weed Is a Seed", and "Pink Slippers", "Bat Mitzvah Blues", a Sydney Taylor Honor Book. She lives in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Savitz co-founded the Philadelphia Children's Reading Round Table. She was nominated for the dorothy Canfield Fisher Award.
