The Kill Fee

Mira, 2003 - Fiction - 300 pages
Critically acclaimed author Laura Van Wormer returns with a new Sally Harrington novel. This time, the journalist returns from California after being a witness in the trial of a West Coast mafia boss. Back at DBS News in New York, she's offered her dream job--hosting a morning news show that will give her national exposure. Then her great-uncle Perry enlists her help to sort out some land ownership issue he has in New York. Seems straightforward enough, until another journalist is murdered--a journalist who has been doing a story on Sally--and it becomes apparent that the mob is not quite out of Sally Harrington's eventful life.
