This book is an historically informed assessment of the Likud both in and out of government up until 2001, and the Zionism that is central to their ideology. Colin Shindler examines the political and ideological history of Zionism as presented by the Likud, and looks beyond propaganda and myths of left and right. In doing so, Shindler provides a fascinating background essential to understanding the current crisis and possible outcomes between Israeli and Palestinian territories.
