3 Things I Wouldn't Do for Money: And Other Ruminations from Suburbia
My family and most of my friends will accept my departure from this earth. But I don t really know what to do about some of my friends in the Writers Circle. Even if they see the death certificate, there are some of them who just don t trust me. In fact, there is one member who did not believe it when I was hospitalized. I d had major surgery for Pete 's sake, but when I came back, he swore that he d seen me alongside the I-5 freeway in an orange jumpsuit picking up trash. I am sure he will look around at each meeting for weeks after my funeral, clearly expecting to see me walk in saying, Gotcha!
