About the author (2012)

Robert Hazard, Canadian born martial artist and the founder of the 8 Winds Defence System. Through his many years of martial arts experience in practicing and sparring against many various martial arts and diligent study in eastern philosophy and military science has created a martial art both equally deadly and efficient in its own right. Through his military experience in the Canadian forces his lessons learned about the human factor in combat and the martial arts has fueled the 8 Winds Defence System to a level far beyond conventional martial arts and created a self defence system that is: easy to learn, simple to use and extremely effective regardless of fitness or past experience. What this does in turn is creates the means self defence for everyone no matter age, sex or conditioning and that was his goal in creating this art.
