About the author (1993)

\Lionel V. Loro~na (AB, UCLA; MLS, Berkely) held various positions within the Research Libraries of the New York Public Library during a 25-year career before retiring. While at the NYPL he served as selection officer for Latin American materials in the humanities. For ten years he has been Compiler/Editor of SALALM's annual Bibliography of Latin American Bibliographies.
