Margaret is in that terrible period of adolescence, perhaps the worst part of it. She's at the cusp of the age of majority when the passage of time and the usual rites are supposed to have conferred on you whatever it is you think that adults know that you don't. But, as any teenager can tell you, most of the challenge of getting through the teenage years, if not actually making them fulfilling, is the art of making it look effortless. Margaret almost always succeeds in making it look easy. But it isn't really easy, for anyone, even when you're popular, goodlooking, and have a popular and goodlooking boyfriend. Margaret tells us all about it.
