C. E. Freeman also co-authored Rome and Her Kings: Extracts from Livy, Bolchazy-Carducci (1988). W. D. Lowe, LittD, MA provided the foundation for this work. Military commitments necessitated by World War I intervened and he asked C. E. Freeman, MA, to complete the reader for publication. Lowe also authored Selections in Attic Greek from Herodotus: The War of Greece and Persia, Bolchazy-Carducci (1984) and Rome and Her Kings: Extracts from Livy, Bolchazy-Carducci (1988).
