Informal, unsystematic, and undoubtedly a bit quirky, A Guide To My Record Collection considers rock and roll music from the point of view of certain classic and not-so-classic records by bands and musicians ranging from Johnny and the Hurricanes to Green Day, with stops in between for the Beatles, Patti Smith, P. J. Harvey, and many others. Essentially a work of serio-comic music appreciation, A Guide To My Record Collection captures the addictive appeal of rock and roll in a way that more analytical works do not, and will appeal to anyone passionate about good music and good writing.

Page 9 - there was no such thing as Rossford Catholic High School. It was Rossford High School ...period. Open to Catholics, Methodist, White, Black ... whatever. But not a Catholic school. Two (maybe 3) members of the original Johnny and the Hurricanes were Catholic, but that was luck of the draw. John, Paul Tesluk and Dave Yorko - original members of the band - were Catholic, though. Not sure about guitarist Lionel Mattice.
