A ruthless, riotous romp through an evening with a family on the edge. I giggled as Martula wittily ripped apart her characters' flimsy facades, only to suddenly feel remorse as I realized their vulnerability. Martula's language may seem coarse but the dialogue is brilliantly constructed, pacing the action and demanding the reader's keen engagement.
A wonderful play that somehow slips the bonds of convention while remaining utterly familiar. Hilarious, disturbing, and ultimately devastating. Another hit for Martula.
