Since her husband, Blaine Jennings, abandoned her, a bitter and untrusting Lacey never thought to find happiness again, but with Sheriff Ed Randall by her side, her world is nearly perfect. In this blissful, settled state, everything she has grown accustomed to with Ed is shaken to the core. The one thing she's forever feared is coming to pass-Blaine's return. His ill-fated timing of ruining people's lives decides to come home, declaring he will never again be unfaithful. It seems he has forgotten his wife's stubborn, revengeful streak, and in her bitterness, makes his endeavors overly difficult. Blaine soon discovers that his once priceless charm will not be enough to win her back, and worse, he is reminded of her abhorrence for religion. Humble, with a heart intent on begging forgiveness, truly, he is returning a changed man-he's found God. Betrayal, heartache, friendship, and passion rule the hearts and minds of the folks in Lincoln County. A faithless marriage ends, a new friendship blooms in "A Lily Among Thorns."
